Hunter S. Thompson Dead by suicide at 67.

Hunter S. Thompson Photographer Unknown

I won't shed a single tear for his loss, only for his pathetic life.
If Thompson had made one tenth the effort to seek the source of his problems as he did lashing out at his fellow victims he might not have killed himself.

It's a shame he damaged so many others in his sojourn among us.

So long,
you sick fuck.

I'm not familiar with this person. It says in the article he was a sharp critic of the Bush administration.

You clearly don't like him though. What did he do and/or say?

Sheryl,

You are obviously using Internet Explorer, users of real browsers cant read the line after so long,.

You hit it right on the head - I didn't like Thompson. He was a mentally ill individual who was exploited by society instead of helped.
It does not matter to me that he was critical of Nixon, or Bush - it was the person and methods that I had trouble with 'Gonzo Journalism' is not journalism - it is opinion and gossip that damages the exchange of information rather than enhance it.

If you were familiar with his writing and the man you would know that Hunther would appreciate the SF comment.
